1966- Established for production of dyestuff and auxiliaries by Adnan Şener.
1967- Started production of textile auxiliaries in Çatalca which had 89000 m² open area and 5000 m² covered area.
1985- Adnan Şener transfered the management of Setaş to his son Dr. Mehmet Emre Şener.
1985- Research and development for disperse dyestuff started.
1987- First disperse dye called as 'Setapers' was produced from synthesis.
1994- First phase at the Çerkezköy disperse dye factory reached full capacity in 3000 m² covered area.
1995- Setaş received ISO-9001 Quality Assurance certificate after controls for old and new production sites.
1996- New production unit and new warehouse were built in Çerkezköy to bring total covered area to 10000 m².
1998- Research & development and pilot scale production of reactive dyes started.
2000- Setaş received the ISO-14001 certificate.
2003- ETAD (Ecological and Toxicological Association of Dyes and Organic Pigments Manufacturers) approved the membership of Setaş
2003- Research and development for polyester masterbatch started. Setaş is the first company in Turkey to manufacture polyester masterbatch for Polyester Fibres.
2005- Adnan Şener, the founder of Setaş Kimya passed away. The first couple of 3rd Generation members of the family joined to work in different levels at the company.
2006- Masterbatch production & sales reached 40 tons/month for polyester fibre masterbatches.
2007- Two sister companies, Setchem and Setacoat joined Setaş Family as joint ventures. Setchem specializes in spin finishes and coning oils for syntetic fibres and Setacoat specializes in production of powdercoatings.
