Setaş has a rich history of research&development and innovation in Turkish Chemical Industry. Since 1960s our principle goal was to achieve new products through our own people and our own laborataries. Following our founder Adnan Şener's vision, today Setaş Kimya has facilities that can do almost all of the lab tests that are done in the textile dye industry.
Our certifications and memberships also speak for themselves. In 2003, Setaş became a member of ETAD (Ecological and Toxicological Association of Dyes and Organic Pigments Manufacturers) which has 44 members on four continents around the world. Setaş also got ISO 9001-2000 version while improvements are being made to our quality systems.
We currently have eight completely different labs at our Çerkezköy plant:
1. Physics Lab where physical tests & evaluations are done on textile samples.
- Light fastness testing machine
- Universal testing equipment (breaking force,tearing force,slippage,elongation,slippery test)
- Static electricity measuring instrument
- Martin-Dale pilling and abrassion tester
- Wettability tester
- Digital Elmendorf tearing strength tester

2. Customer Service Lab where the customer color matchings and evaluations are done with our dyes and chemical auxiliaries
3. Masterbatch Lab where masterbatch products like polyester filament and fibre color matchings are done. We also have plastic injection moulding equipment in addition to the following equipment:
- Pilot PET/PP/Nylon spin line
- Spectrophotometer
- Filtre Pressure Test Machine
- MFI Test Machine
- Polymer Dryers
- Pigment Test Mixers
4. Research and Development Lab where new dyes and chemicals are developed using the latest equipment in the industry like the following:
- Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrophotometer (GC-MS)
- Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrophotometer (FTIR-8300)
- High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)
- Gas Chromatography

5. Dye Quality Control Lab where quality control of our dye products and raw materials are done using the following equipments:
- Laboratory pearl-mill

- Dyeing machines
6. Auxiliary Quality Control lab where auxiliary quality controls are done for raw materials and products.
7. Printing Lab where printing experiments and processes are tested using the following lab equipments:
- Drier and fixation machine
- High temperature steamer
- Coating machine
- Padder
- Magnetic printing machine
- Viscometer
- Laboratory pearl-mill
8. Powder Coating Lab where powder coating products are tested for quality control purposes.
